An Unsilenced Survivor Story

from my perspective, I was left alone and naked with a group of strangers... I vividly remember trying to sit back up, crying, calling for my mom and the doctor pushing me back down and telling me to be quiet.

I had multiple UTIs as a kid between the ages of 6 to 8 (i was in a swimming club, so my guess is that it was from the pool). They told my parents I needed a VCUG and that they were not allowed in the room with me. The doctors didn't explain anything to me either... so from my perspective, I was left alone and naked with a group of strangers. I don't remember most of it, just bit and pieces. I vividly remember trying to sit back up, crying, calling for my mom and the doctor pushing me back down and telling me to be quiet (he said it gentky but it didnt really matter) . I know they asked me questions during the procedure but my voice didn't not work.
