I received a VCUG at age 6, and it was the most traumatic moment of my life, and I’m in my 30s now. I can still remember the smell of the room, the words I screamed over and over for my mom, the feeling and pain. At the time, I didn’t understand how traumatic it actually was. Surely it felt like the worst day ever, but I didn’t realize what it did to my mind and body. The part I haven’t mentioned yet is the part I don’t talk about… this procedure gave me an orgasm. At age 6. I had no idea at the time obviously.
